Case Results
Murder Charges: Not Guilty
Client was accused of murder — generally, facing a possible life sentence. At trial, defended by Robert Hoffa, he was acquitted of first-degree and third-degree murder and found guilty only of the lesser charges of voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault.
Attempted Murder: Not Guilty
Client was accused of Attempted Murder for allegedly striking a man with a hammer after he intervened in a domestic altercation. Based in part on video evidence, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty of attempted murder and guilty of a lesser charge of aggravated assault and related offenses.
Firearms and Drugs: Evidence Suppressed and Case Dismissed
Client was a guest at a residence where a search warrant was served, resulting in felony drug and firearms charges. Defense attorney Matthew Diemer filed and litigated a Motion to Suppress, which was granted. The charges were subsequently dismissed.
Aggravated Assault: Not Guilty on All Charges
Client was accused of physically assaulting another person and threatening them with a knife. Following extensive cross-examination of the alleged victim and several witnesses by defense lawyer Matthew Diemer, the jury returned a not-guilty verdict in less than fifteen minutes.
